In 2016, the D. Jones Family Charitable Foundation continued its support for the international life-changing efforts of Hearts & Hope for Uganda. Hearts & Hope is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to helping the poor and vulnerable in Uganda. Through long-term partnerships, the organization seeks to develop relationships that create hope and transform lives. Hearts & Hope partners in the development of empowered communities in Uganda with a focus on clean water, education, health and wellness, and business development.
This year, among their many initiatives for the betterment of the Ugandan people, the organization sought to raise funds to purchase land in order to install a clean water well in the village of Namwendwa. The 2016 grant from the D. Jones Family Charitable Foundation helped to make the purchase of the land for the well possible.
