The Covid-19 Pandemic has created unprecedented challenges to health and healthcare around the world. In Uganda, village schools have closed due to shelter-in-place orders, and students and families have been cut off from food and supplies on which they depend. The D Jones Family Charitable Foundation and other sponsors stepped in to answer an emergency call for funding from Hearts and Hope Uganda to help bring relief to the affected students and families. The emergency funding provided coverage of teacher salaries while schools are closed and much needed food and supplies to seven villages serving more than 900+ students and their families impacted by the Pandemic.
