In 2022, The D Jones Family Charitable Foundation continued its support of cancer research with a gift to the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University’s GI Oncology Fund. Winship is Georgia’s only national cancer institute-designated comprehensive cancer center and serves as the coordinating center for cancer research, education and care throughout Emory University. According to its website, Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University has four full research programs, each comprised of investigators from Emory and partner institutions whose cancer research interests in a particular area are complementary and synergistic.
