In 2015, the D Jones Family Charitable Foundation made a donation to the Jumpstart organization that was used for program supplies in under-resourced communities in Chicago. These supplies included books, art materials and song charts. As a bonus, an anonymous donor matched the grant, doubling its impact.

Jumpstart is a national early education organization that recruits and trains college students and community Corps members to serve preschool children in low-income neighborhoods. It’s proven curriculum helps children develop the language and literacy skills they need to be ready for kindergarten, setting them on a path to close the achievement gap before it is too late.
